HSI success made simple.

Services

ERES HSI is a consulting company that works with Emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (eHSIs) and HSIs for the betterment of Latinx/e students. The company offers an array of services under two primary tiers: (1) emerging HSI eligibility and status, and (2) professional development opportunities. Since the inception of HSIs, the U.S. The Department of Education has afforded opportunities via competitive grants for those eligible institutions.

ERES HSI is committed to supporting institutional stakeholders and leaders with the larger picture and bringing forth innovative ideas for the success of Latinx/e students and the overall campus-community.

Emerging HSIs

ERES HSI provides services to colleges and universities to prepare them for HSI eligibility and determination. According to Excelencia in Education, “Emerging HSIs (eHSIs) are defined as institutions as public or not-for-profit degree granting institutions with 15–24.9% Latino undergraduate full-time equivalent enrollment.”

ERES HSI will provide various tasks based on each institution's needs to assist with preparing said institution to apply to become an eligible Hispanic-serving institution. In addition, ERES HSI will provide guidance to college leadership, faculty, and key stakeholder groups to best position them to apply for eligibility and secure grant-funding opportunities via the three discretionary grants available.

Some of the deliverables include:

  • Provide institutional trainings, presentations, and workshops regarding Latinx/e Student Success, essential HSI institutional support, and Latinx/e enrollment management and operational support.

  • Brainstorm strategies for growth in Latinx/e student enrollment.

  • Give presentations and organize meetings on HSI-related topics.

  • Meet with designated and appropriate stakeholders for assessment protocols and design.

  • And provide a final report with recommendations and a plan that institutional stakeholders can use to embed an HSI culture.

The goal of this professional development is to provide assistance and training to grant team members to reach the program objectives and provide additional support for the institutionalization of their programs.

Liderazgo en HSIs

ERES HSI offers Liderazgo en HSIs as a professional development program specifically catering to HSI stakeholders and practitioners at emerging and current HSIs who wish to conceptualize a more intentional approach towards servingness for Latinx/e, low-income, and our most underserved students at their respective institutions.
