Linn-Benton Community College Report
An increase in Latinx/a/o student enrollment at Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) led to an increased interest in becoming a designated Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). Utilizing local, nationwide, and institutional data, LBCC conceptualized servingness and began framing the work of envisioning HSI designation in the upcoming years.
This report provides users an overview of key components towards gaining readiness and awareness of HSIs such as data, HSI history and definition, alignment of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) with other institutional priorities, and resources, along with recommendations that are intended to provide concrete information for LBCC leaders towards their advancement in hopes of achieving HSI designation.
